About us

Our ethos at DR4DR is that security and risk management solutions should be simple and easily understood to be effective. We focus on 3 key factors to aid organisations;
Enhancing the pro-security culture is vital; without a pro-security culture, any risk undertakings risk failure.
We increase the organisation's capabilities in understanding and managing risks and increasing confidence in decision-making to aid business continuity.

We work with you to understand your organisation and create simple frameworks, processes, and systems to enhance your security culture and protect your assets. We use our skills to assess your vulnerabilities, identify threats, and implement cost-effective mitigations proportionate to the threat. Our intent is to help you continue to do what you do without implementing ineffective systems or creating cost pressures.

An example of this is the upcoming PROTECT initiative, otherwise known as Martyn's law. Many organisations will be overwhelmed by how to plan for and manage a potential terrorist attack and receive poor advice that focuses on ineffective and expensive measures such as bollards or glazing. This is often due to blue light blindness and the fear factor that the word terrorist attack creates. Effective plans are simple to prepare, enact, and execute.

At the heart of everything is a conversation between us that ensures we understand you, your operations, and your objectives. This ensures our services align with you, are balanced, proportionate to the threat and add value.

Who we are...

Our Managing Director, Chris Watson, has had an incredibly diverse career path. He began his journey in the French Foreign Legion, which helped him develop his adaptability and resilience. He then moved on to serve in Humberside police, before transitioning into the private security risk management sector.

Chris considers himself to be a security professional above all else, and has dedicated most of his career to this field. His work has included providing security guidance and advice to critical infrastructure in the UK including the NHS, offering global security guidance to NGOs, the oil and gas sector, and post-conflict environments in the Middle East and North Africa.

Chris holds a range of top-tier security risk management qualifications, including the Frontier Risks SRMC, the International Security Management Institute CSMP, and the University of St Andrews PG Cert in Terrorism Studies. He has also completed an MBA in Risk with Resilience, as well as the University of Portsmouth Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist course. Lastly, we are proud to sponsor Toulouse Olympique player Callum Gahan at DR4DR.
